This panel is hung in front some open shelves – and provides an alternative to cupboard doors where space is tight. I was it as an opportunity to create a focal point and something more like a piece of functional art in what might otherwise be a neglected corner.
The backcloth is a soft felt and we inlaid panels of Kirsten Hecktermann’s hand dyed velvet and some vintage linen, combined with vintage lace ribbon.
