The design for this door curtain was heavily influenced by beautiful Art Deco bookbindings that I’d seen when I was growing up. It’s made from a simple but beautiful undyed wool, fantastic both for its insulating qualities and how much wear it can take – ideal for the job it’s being asked to do. The panels are all vintage pieces, the red velvet being a much treasured piece of silk millinery velvet from the sixties with a particularly pleasing striped selvedge.
