Completed in 2007, this project involved hand sewing 42 pairs of curtains, swags and tails for two rooms in Chowmahalla Palace in India. The Palace, which belongs to the last Nizam of Hyderabad (at one time the richest man in the world), was being restored back to its former glory after falling into disrepair. We stitched on site, in an unrestored part the palace itself – which must have made it one of the most spectacular workrooms in the world. The palace and the rooms we worked on are now open to the public.
